The McKenna Orthodontic Legacy

Orthodontics, the science of moving teeth through bone, became the first and perhaps most sought after specialties of modern dentistry in the early 1900s. Believing that orthodontics could transform lives, in 1918, Paul McKenna I became the first orthodontist in New England to open an orthodontic practice. Patients traveled from all over New England to McKenna's Springfield, Massachusetts office for quality orthodontic care.

As the field developed, Dr. Paul McKenna I kept his practice current with the latest in technology and services. His son, Dr. Paul J. McKenna, Jr., shared his father's passion for orthodontics' transformative abilities and joined the practice in 1952. He provided quality care to Pioneer Valley residents for more than 40 years.

Following the family tradition of changing lives through orthodontics, Dr. Stephen W. McKenna proudly joined McKenna Orthodontics in 1990 after graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Trusted for 100 years, McKenna Orthodontics continues to provide the highest quality orthodontic services to patients from all over New England, with offices in Longmeadow, Chicopee, and Feeding Hills.

As part of their commitment to the profession, McKenna orthodontists have held memberships and affiliations with dental and professional associations. Today, McKenna Orthodontics is affiliated with: American Association of Orthodontists; American Dental Association; American College of Dentistry; Massachusetts Dental Society; Northeastern Society of Orthodontists; Chicopee Chamber of Commerce; West of the River Chamber of Commerce, and Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield.
